Federal agency hosts Transgender Day of Visibility Summit
Federal workers can receive 4.5 hours off to attend virtual transgender summit, held during Women's History Month.
The Department of the Interior will host a Transgender Day of Visibility Virtual Summit on March 29. An event flyer states that DOI colleagues are invited to recognize, celebrate, learn and be inspired at DOI’s first Transgender Day of Visibility Summit.
Presented by the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement and Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, in partnership with the DOI Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Civil Rights, the Transgender Day of Visibility Summit is scheduled to last four and a half hours on a regular work day for most federal employees.
Ironically, a DOI Women’s History Month event, scheduled one day after the transgender summit, is scheduled to last only one hour.
Great post. Pointing out the real problems we have to solve.
